Internal Medicine Meeting 2017 MOC Points

Successful completion of these CME activities, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables participants to earn MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for these activities. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

How to Claim MOC Points for Pre-Courses

  1. Register for and attend the Pre-Course. All Pre-Courses except for The Art of Leadership (PRE 1710) are eligible for MOC points from ACP. (CME credit for PRE 1710 is provided by the American Association for Physician Leadership.)
  2. After the Pre-Course, submit for CME credit at im2017.acponline.org/CME
  3. Return to this webpage after the course, complete a brief quiz and achieve a passing score of 60% or higher.
  4. ACP will then submit the MOC points to the ABIM on your behalf. The number of MOC points will be equal to the number of CME credits claimed.
  5. The quiz must be completed by March 30, 2018.

How to Claim MOC Points for Internal Medicine Meeting 2017

  1. Register for and attend Internal Medicine Meeting 2017. 
  2. At the conclusion of the meeting, submit for CME credit at im2017.acponline.org/CME.
  3. Return to this webpage after the meeting (April 3, 2017), complete a brief multiple-choice question quiz* and achieve a passing score of 60% or higher. The 31-question quiz will span a broad range of clinical topics presented at the meeting.
  4. ACP will then submit the MOC points to the ABIM on your behalf. The number of MOC points will be equal to the number of CME credits claimed.
  5. The quiz must be completed by March 30, 2018.

* In February, 2017, the attend Internal Medicine Meeting 2017 MOC quiz will be available on this page in the “preview” mode. Read through the questions to determine which areas you need to brush up on, then identify the sessions you’ll want to attend based on your individual learning needs.

Internal Medicine Meeting 2016 MOC Modules

Sign in with your ACP Online user name (restricted to registered attendees). Complete the questions, check your answers, enter your ABIM MOC candidate number, and click to submit.  Successful completion of an MOC module - score of 60% or higher - qualifies for 10 ABIM MOC points. Earn up to a total of 30 MOC points.  Modules must be completed by March 30, 2017.

Each ACP MOC module:

  • Spans a broad range of clinically-relevant topics
  • Contains 30 multiple-choice questions.
  • Is available online at no cost to all Internal Medicine Meeting 2016 attendees. You don’t have to be enrolled in ABIM MOC to complete a module but you have to be enrolled in MOC to earn MOC credit.

Maintenance of Certification Exam Preparation Pre-Course (PRE 1610)

Attendees of the Maintenance of Certification Exam Preparation Pre-Course (PRE 1610) can earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. In order to earn MOC points, the ABIM requires completion of an evaluation of the learning that took place during the course. To fulfill this requirement, you will need to take a multiple-choice quiz and achieve a passing score of 60%.
