This course answers the following questions:

  2. Which patients require hospitalization and/or surgical consultation?

Bariatric Surgery: Who, When and What Now?

This course answers the following questions:

  1. When is bariatric surgery indicated in the treatment of obesity?
  2. What role does pharmaceutical treatment of obesity play? And with what agents?
  3. What are the guidelines for perioperative prophylaxis in the bariatric patient?
  4. What are the long-term benefits and complications of bariatric surgery?
  5. What can be offered for the post-bariatric patient with weight regain?
